Tourism in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) district in the state of Kerala in India promotes hill stations in the area, rear waters, beaches, lagoons, and nature reserves. Agastyakoodam
Located on the eastern side of the district about 1,869 meters (6,132 ft) above sea level, Agasthyarkoodam is one of the highest peaks in the Western Ghats and is the second highest peak in Kerala after Anamudi which is the highest peak in the Western Ghats. Tradition says that the great agasthya lives on this peak. Known for its abundant ayurveda potions, conical volcanoes are the center of pilgrimage for Hindus because of Agastya, which is a confirmed bachelor. Therefore, indigenous people do not like the presence of women on the hill and they are forbidden to rise to the top. Agasthyavanam Biological Park offers trekking opportunities.
Agasthyarkoodam is 70 kilometers (43 mi) from Thiruvananthapuram and is home to Neelakurinji, a flower that blooms only once every twelve years. The forest graduation must be obtained from the Wildlife Warden in the Ministry of Forestry for trekking. The vehicle only reaches up to Bonacaud which is about 50 km from Thiruvananthapuram. The trip to the summit is 28 km long from Bonacaud and takes 2 days. The first part of the journey can start from the base station Bonacaud in the morning and 20 km through the forest to the camp. Elephants and wild bulls abound in this section especially at night. The last part of the 8 km long journey can be done from the camp to the top of Agathyakoodam mountain on the second day.

Anchuthengu
Located 40 km north of the city of Thiruvananthapuram, along the sea coast, Anchuthengu is an important historic landmark. Aruvikkara

Aruvippuram

Balaramapuram
Balaramapuram is famous for its spun cloth. Weaving is a cottage industry here with cooperative activities. It is 13 km south of the city towards Kanyakumari on National Highway 47.
Waterfall Meenmutti and Kombaikani
These are two magnificent waterfalls at the top of the Neyyar reservoir. The two kilometer journey, through the dense forest, will take one to Meenmutty Falls, Thiruvananthapuram and two more km, to Kombaikani waterfall. Waterfalls and forests around them deserve to be experienced.
Kalakkayam, Kurisadi, and Braemore real estate waterfalls
Kalakkayam/Mankayam/Idinjar waterfall is 45 km from Thiruvananthapuram near Palode. The nearby Kurisadi waterfall has a smaller pool compared to Kalakkayam and is a designated eco-tourism destination. The falls from the Braemore plantation are 3 km farther from the Kalakkayam waterfall and are located on private land accessible at an additional cost.
Vazhvanthol Waterfall
