St. George Island is one of the islands of Pribilof in the state of Alaska, USA, in the Bering Sea off the west coast of the state. The island has an area of ​​90Ã, kmÃ,² (35 sq mi) and a population of about 100 people, all living in the only community, St. George, which covers the whole island.

The island was discovered by Gavriil Pribylov on June 25, 1786, during a search for a northern seal breeding ground. The island is named after the ship Pribylov, the St. St. George Island George was the first of the found Pribilofs.

By 2016, a new species of beaked whale called Berardius beringiae is found on the island.

It is considered part of Bering's Volcanic Marine Province.
