John Willis , dubbed Bac Guai John in Cantonese, or White Devil John , is an American mafia associated with the Chinese Mafia in Boston and New York. Willis claimed the only white person in China's organized crime, a statement backed by FBI agent Scott O'Donnell, who stated that he had "never seen" such a case from Willis.

Kehidupan awal
While working as a bouncer in a Boston bar frequented by Chinese criminals, Willis intervened in a fight on behalf of Chinese gangster Vapeng "John" Joe. As a thank you, Joe gave Willis a card with the number written on it and told Willis to call if he needed anything. Immediately, damaged and in need of shelter, Willis called the number. He was taken to a house occupied by Chinese Ping On's gang. Some reports state that Willis was later "adopted" by Chinese families associated with the gang.
New York
After being initiated into a gang life in Boston, Willis was sent to New York to act as a bodyguard and bagman for a Chinese gangster in town. While in New York, Willis began to learn Chinese (Cantonese and Toisanese dialects) as a way to pick up Asian women, who eventually became fluent. His language skills are essential to his rise in the hierarchy of organized Chinese crime. Willis finally learned Vietnamese as well.
Return to Boston
In the 1990s, Willis was sent back to Boston to work for a middle-level gangster named Bai Ming. However, China's grass war broke out which resulted in Bai Ming being the most important gangster still standing in the Boston Chinatown. Willis, being the second commander of Bai Ming, saw his status in Chinese organized crime soar.

In August 2013, Willis was convicted of drug trafficking and money laundering for his role in the $ 4 million Oxycontin drug ring. He received a 20-year sentence. Willis is currently serving his sentence at Cumberland FCI with a projected release date on 10/27/2028.
