Savoy Hotel Moscow is a historic Russian hotel in downtown Moscow, reopened after major renovations in 2005. The symbol of the hotel is a salamander.

History
The Savoy Hotel opened in 1913. At that time, the original five-story building had the most up-to-date equipment of the day, such as an elevator, in-room phone and safe. Among well known hotel guests are Sergey Yesenin, Isadora Duncan, and Antoine de Saint Exupà ©  © ry. Moscow literati en masse respects the hotel with their presence, reads their new poetry there. After the Russian Revolution and World War II, Savoy remained a major attraction for the Communist elite children.
In 1959, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the German Democratic Republic, the hotel was renamed Berlin and began specializing in guests from Germany and Austria. New in 1989 the hotel returned to its historical name.
In recent years, Montserrat Caballà ©, Luciano Pavarotti, Josà © Carreras, Maradona, Richard Gere, Patricia Kaas, Cindy Crawford, and other celebrities stay at the hotel.
In December 2005, Hotel Savoy had a second birth. The total volume of investment in reconstruction is more than $ 20 million USD. It finished with certification in the "5 stars" category and became the first Russian representative of the prestigious "Small Luxury Hotels of the World" league.
The redesign was made by Leonardo Tognoni, who had previously restored the Palazzo Barberini and the Borghese Gallery in Rome, as well as the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. The hotel's previous retro style works with today's fashion. An important trend is the use of natural materials such as wood, marble, and wool. The hotel blend and grandeur allows it to position itself as a boutique hotel.
Current ownership
The hotel is owned by OAO  «Infa-Otel'à »Â», whose shares are shared between Musgrave Holdings (84%), Group Guta members, and Moscow government (16%).
