Gaylord Hotels is a Marriott International brand convention hotel. It consists of four large hotels with an attached convention center and one overflow hotel support property. The property is owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc.
Before changing his name and handing hotel management to Marriott, Ryman Hospitality is named Gaylord Entertainment Company. Until the expansion of the Nashville hotel 1996 to nearly 3,000 rooms and further announcements about Opryland Hotel Florida in the future, the hospitality group is a modest division of the Opryland USA property of Gaylord Entertainment.

In 2010, Gaylord made a deal with DreamWorks Animation to create a breakfast of characters and other activities with Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and other DreamWorks characters.
On May 31, 2012, Marriott International agreed to purchase the rights to manage four Gaylord hotels worth $ 210 million in cash.
From 2002 to 2009, Gaylord Hotels is a major sponsor of Music City Bowl, a postseason college football game held annually in Nashville. In 2011, the company continued to be a secondary sponsor.
